A lovers tune
Long lost to me

Saytr’s play their
Flutes but I can
Hear no melody

And when tossed
To sea
The sirens songs
Have lost their
Lustful luring

So Apollo
I ask if thee

Why does the
Muse forsaken me

Perhaps the gods
They seek
An offering

So I’ll bleed
My blues
Under the lonely
Oak tree

To ease my ears
And find that
Missing key

Then in golden hues
The answer illuminating

I was never without
The tune
But
The heart beat
