The Sun and the Moon

Meet in the mornings

To discuss with each other

The direction they're heading in

Once they both figure

Where they are going

The Sun and the Moon

Part as the closest of friends

The Sun takes to the right

The Moon looking over his shoulder

Sees the day dawning

Knows that it's time

To pack his bag

Kick up some dust

With no looking back

Head for the night

The Sun and the Moon

For years have looked out for each other

So neither is caught

On the wrong side of the light
