Nov 2020
that moment you realise
that epiphany
that slaps reality
around your face
that you are not the poet
you had hoped to be
and that
perhaps it is time
to lay down your quill
and put away your ink
and disappear
into the ether
my heart
bleeds dry
as my dust vaporises
and floats into a void
