Upon a roof

I met a beautiful thing

A beautiful sunset

Its beautiful colors bold

Are like gold

It was like it could get rid of mold

The light fading fast

I didn’t want the colors to pass

“Why won’t you stay?” I asked

The light faded, at last

The day had passed

I climbed down onto the ground vast

I went inside

And quietly sighed

The beautiful light had died
