A spark of lightning
Between us
Overwhelming the senses
Intertwined in a passionate embrace
This is the dream
This is the desire.
We see Fate's intention
Detrimental to us
Beneficial to all
We are the precipice of survival
You, the sun
I, the moon
Separated forevermore
But just once
Once in a thousand years
The yearning ceases
An eclipse of such primal lust
And longing
Sated for but a moment
Where we satisfy our need
To be together.
But this moment cannot last
For Fate has intentions
Malevolent for our long awaited union
Benign for the darkness of humanity
Which is more important?
I have waited a thousand years
To feel your warmth
And felt nothing but freezing Disappointment
As you slip through my grasp once again.
Chasing each other
An endless pursuit for something
We can never have
The ache of our unfulfilled desire
To exist with each other.
Nothing can bring us together.
But for the Eclipse.
