Do you remember this
Do you remember that
The forest for the trees
Fields of knee high grass

A sun that always shined
Through the bluest of bluest skies
When all of it we saw
Through the clearest of clearest eyes

The many running streams
That sparkled crystal clear
Pushing and pulling Autumn leaves
Like a master puppeteer

As children danced and played
To the tunes that birds would sing
With no need to hide away
From most everything we see

Where the cares we had were few
And peace was plentiful
Where those who could would do
All they could do to help

Where milk and honey flowed
From land to shinning sea
The days we all held hope
The days we all felt free

Seems like not so long ago
So close to yesterday
If we had only known
Would we have let progress have its way
