I remember the moment I learned we die
I was a young , I screamed out, WHY!!
I looked to see if I was on Death's path
listened to see if I could hear Death's laugh
Frantic I found myself in my mothers arms
Embraced by all her motherly charms
Held me close, wiped my face
My mouth was salty from the tears I taste
Calmed me down with her tender love
Comfort felt like a hand in glove
She told me son you gotta live....
You are special You have so much to give.
Rocking my soul gently to sleep
Aware now of deaths slow creep
Fading I fall into dreamland
Where once again I took my mothers hand
Mommy I love you this poem is for you
Can never change what we went through
Time will pass my love won't change
Everything around it I will rearrange
To see you in pain cuts me like a knife
To ease your suffering I would give my life.
