If my love were unseen as the night sky
Like a lonely cloud of twilight
As sure as stars above that shine for us
With the treasure shared underneath that dusk

My heart would sing within that solace
As a fulfilled soul hopes to flee from this mess
Casting my shadow on you as a willow does
And in exchange I lose none of the ardor

For your love, should it belong somewhere else
I innocently reside in your heart's corner
As I accept my loss of scope and time
Our fates shall never intertwine

Reminding us time is of consequence
My sweet love will wash away with its pink sands
I hope the metaphor resonates.
