I miss sleeping on the rooftop of grandma's house and lying down under the clear night sky,
I would stare at the shy moon and she would sometimes stare back.
I remember the stars winking at me,
The cool breeze would caress my face until I was asleep,
The crickets would sing their lullabies,
And my mother and aunts would chatter the night away.

I remember how happy everyone were,
I remember days where worries wouldn't plague our minds,
I remember their simple smiles,
Their resonant laughs,
I remember those simple days,
I remember you...
To where did you run away?
Who took you and left dismay?
