New York City that never sleeps
Yet cars, trucks and buses with their beeps
But this day into the night was different, a situation mesmerized, and it caught everyone by surprise
Total Blackout in darkness
Everything came to a complete stop
No lights anywhere on top
Nothing was moving, but people energy
The cause being unknown
As for pictures, there are none to be shown
It was darkness
But I was a witness
Blackness with no assortment shade
The city was loss, and needed aid
A night only surrounding the Heavens
Citizens confused
Was the New York City blackout caused by a fuse?
We will never know
But it only goes to show
Anything can when you least expe
