Alone
I could say it’s the freedom,
With no one to tell me no,
And I love when I’m deciding,
Just where and when to go,
I might say it’s the quiet,
Of silence all around,
No voice to mar the beauty,
Of time without a sound,
I’ll add it’s the adventure,
When all I have is me,
There’s really nothing like it,
The wonders that I see,
But the time I spend alone,
Is when my soul can rest,
And really it’s the company,
It’s when I like me best.
