Stay there?
I give you a reason.
Come here, now!
So you act like I'm talking to myself?
Or keep pretending you don't hear me.

Yes, when reflecting back?
You remember those old school parents saying?
They were powerful.
They were demanding.
They were direct.

In those days, you comprehend respect.
And nothing less.
Just by the tone of mom and especially dad you knew exactly what they meant?

And what was about to occur?
Talkback?
Go ahead, if you wanted too?

Some knew how that hole in the wall gotten there?
If you had siblings?
You mainly had one that wanted to brave up?
And got clobbered back down.

Even when siblings advise them to stay down?
This was back in the day.
