Vanlue

   There’s a magical mystical place
Somewhere out there, they say
Maybe in another galaxy
Or in our own Milky-way

I’ve heard the people say it’s
A land of honey and rainbows
A place with unicorns and Pegasus’s
And sun flowers by the rows

I know that I wish I could be there, far
Away from this crazy world gone insane
In a place where there’s no hate
Where there’s only love and no pain

Some people would say it’s crazy
But I think we should all still dream
So I travel via a shooting star catapulting
From a comets tail that I hitched from a Moonbeam

I let my imagination run wild
With all sounds, smells and sights
A place with overwhelming love
Free from the fussing and fights

Some say that I’m speaking of Heaven
Others say that it’s Xanadu
A place far, far away in our universe
But I wonder if it’s as close as a place
In Ohio named Vanlue

I live in Ohio and I drive everywhere
Yesterday I saw a sign for the exit
To Vanlue. I didn’t know we had such a
Place and I thought that it was funny.
It’s probably just a very small town that
No one has heard of but it became the
Inspiration for this silly poem.
