Because I do not represent a slave and was born in honor and traditional dignity because I uphold the rights of a free human and live as one That for my colour is elitist and greedy for having the comforts my neighbors did not who then decided it was right to steal what I worked hard for Because I do not represent a slave and was not seen begging and borrowing they say it was a crime to hold I was better than drunkards & thieves Because I have a good education and potential from respectable background I'm confident and self assured they saw with resentful eyes to blacken with pomposity & arrogance Because I do not represent a slave not in street gangs and hoods hanging with the lawless mob I am labelled proud & a toff because I am black & should as one So because I do not represent a slave I should be returned to square on and taught my place I should be brought into the chain gang ******* and broken down smashed to pieces & all the worthy bits of me blackened & destroyed Because I do not represent a slave the Confederacy Flag becomes the Red Banner of Solidarity and they put the psychological knee on my neck & knelt hard they slander, harass, hound, demonize, humiliate & bully denied my basic human rights and seek to dehumanize me All because in their white eyes I do not represent a slave I am black but should not be proud of my Heritage and my Cultural dignity They decide what is right or wrong they decide who rules they are the kings and kingmakers Its their birthright
