once someone hurts you
it's hard to find reasons
why they wouldn't do it again

staring at the wall behind them
once you remember
the things they did

it's easy to laugh along
and embrace the other
when you forget

but one little remark
sparks a memory
and your stomach starts to twist

grabbing on to what's closest
trying you're hardest
to hold it in

your brain racing
through a replay
room begins to spin

sick at the thought
that you called this person
a friend

but you're too far gone
and its been to long
to point it out to them

now they think
they can rampage
and proceed without consent
