Nobody heard my silent screams,
"Help! Help!"
Nobody saw behind my sweet smile,
A world of pain.
They thought I was lazy
because I slept a lot,
But, sleep gave me relief from sadness and anger.
When I complained or fumed,
They told me to "get it over",
They never realised I was a fire from inside,
My mind was in chaos,
So I tried to be quiet and brave,
All the time suffering.
Until one day I snapped,
Tried to take my own life.
Luckily I was saved by my best friend,
I've finally convalesced,
It's uphill but, I am learning to steer my life in the right direction.
