moving on
I packed everything up
walked away with my head down
I wasn't done living
I wasn't ready to leave
all my friends waved goodbye
they all wished me luck
they'll never know how much I love them
how much they meant
the tires move softly on the road
that is never-ending
until potholes dip down
and are jolting
life is hard
and I'm tired of moving on
maybe it was supposed to be this way
maybe I was supposed to leave
but right now I'm tired
and I want to go to sleep,
so don't make me move on
I'm not ready
