Solitude

by Diana_Nyambeki

Yeah, I'm that stone, that lonely stone, Thrown far away and isolated, just on its own That ugly stone, that you dare not come near, But really, can you blame me?,upbraid me? When it is all on you, all your fault? I once was an open book, candid, and sociable Then taken advantage of, betrayed, bruised I learnt my lesson, I'm better alone, stronger alone, Fake friends, fake people, fake everybody, Fake promises, love, and fake everythin' tried to cope, got tired of betrayal, Treaded alone, there peace I found, Where peace I found, there I resided Depending on myself, just countin' on myself Used and betrayed , my lesson I learnt Alone I survive, I got nothin' to lose My peace I adore, Imma fight to keep it Alone I survive, my heart I safeguard, I'm better alone, coz alone, I found my peace
