Anger hurts
my heart space
such a mighty pain
I can’t turn back time
and escape this freeze frame
my brain
an oncoming train
a hope a jolt
of lightning strikes
the night is white
divides in time
the fractured mind
emits a wave
crash hard
upon the shore
I beg the lord
please no more
sandstone me home
I bleed to go
where none do roam
but dust and glass
diamond backed
I watch the grass
unpack
the weight
of a generation
maimed untamed
growing still
in night forever
longing the light.
