A belly full of liquor
Rags for clothes on back
The homeless and downtrodden
Are under an attack
Rested, uneasy, on grass under the sun
Saving all their strength, for the night to come
Little food, and an unquenched thirst
They’re Impoverished, but they’re human first
Poor decisions made, and down on their luck
Has led them down the path they took
A good hot meal goes a very long way
To being more a human, than they are today
