Aimless
in the sea.
Last,
he was the last.
Abandoned
like a casualty of war.
Gone
in the depths
of the midnight-blackened sea,
Led
only with the stars,
time
left him behind.
Days
turn to weeks.
Wave
drowns out his screams.
Content,
or perhaps sorrowed,
last breath
left his soul’s vessel.
The last trace of his existence-
Gone.
Buried.
Forgotten.
The last memory
vanished
under churning blue.
