Sunlight
In a chair he sits
with
sunlight on his
face
yet it's
still opaque
theΒ twitch
of his eye
only
a MacGuffin
so don't expect
a revelation
because as someone
once
long ago said
what remains in the heart
must be obscure

An original with a stolen quote from Rembrandt. I just want to tell you how surprised and touched I am by the reception of this piece. Thank you all so much!
