but it is not god that

interests me

what interests me most
is the humanity we all share

the pain we hold
the way we heal

the love we break
and mend to each other

the lies we tell to
protect each other

the truth we tell
to protect each other

what we remember
what we choose not

to forget

or what we do not forget
whether we choose it or not

and the ways we
express it all

as humans
