Commuter Poet
Poems
Mar 2020
Pierce my skin
My emotions lie gathered beneath my surface
And it won’t take much to pierce my skin
Causing my essence to flow out freely
For all to see
The trials of these days have driven me
To work and work
And somehow I now need to release the pressure
That has mounted in my bones
Soft words from a wise man
Brought tears to my eyes this morning
And I dabbed my face
With an old tissue
I guess we are all hanging on
To what we knew
Looking for guidance and signals
Before we enter the unknown
