One pops a placebo
one scrolls the screen,
socially medicinal
intentional,
a soother for the masses

girls with long eyelashes
boys with bigger thirsts
we blow our silver trumpets
until the bubble bursts
and we find that no one knows us
we are all alone
stuck inside a giant's eyes
glued into the phone.
