tabby was a cat he was just a stray
didnt have a home or a place to stay
digging through the bins for a bite to eat
anything at all for a tasty treat

sleeping in all weathers in the rain and snow
just a homeless cat nowhere he could go
he was very sad he began to cry
an old lady she had heard him. as she was passing bye

she picked up the cat took him home with her
held him very gently as she stroked his fur
the little cat was happy he had a place to stay
someone who would love him. no longer have to stray
