Poems
Feb 2020
Beginning
The murmur of the dried leaves,
Floating in this infinite abyss.
Frosted white beads,
Settling on your lashes,
Like theirs to keep.
Cigarette and perfume,
Amalgam and intertwine.
Our breath-collateral.
Breeding heart's desire.
A dreaded silence,
Thoughts rippling emotions,
An innocent gesture,
Flustering and suffocation.
Glare at your face,
The dusk; the setting sun.
Should I speak or wait,
To settle this commotion.
