Alone in the sea I could hear a cry
A little cry from the blue deep ocean
A sweet sad voice echoes so clearly..
A beautiful mermaid sang her heart so desperately

As the mid night passed,
The evil storm came suddenly
The sweet songs seemed lost in the angry sea
I remember the face of the angel vividly
A little one with sweet sad love songs, you see…

I came to the sea the very next day
Hoping to hear the angel sings and sway
Frustrated I felt very much today
For a glimpse of her tail I saw and she swept away..

I kept coming to the sea every alternate day
Capturing what each words mean in her heart piercing songs
I came to know she was hoping one day
To dance gracefully on the shore with her songs

To sing.. to dance with her beloved prince on the shore..
Even a brief moment will make her heart content
However she isn’t so sure
Will her prince understands her intent?

Dance a little mermaid dance..
An angel of the sea may dance so gracefully.
