I scraped through the week again
and got to the end,
pretending I don't have to do it again
pretending the sky is not threatening rain
wondering what's in the pantry to eat
should I go veggie
should I eat meat?

whatnots and knick-knacks,
I got lots of them
pots of them
some say
I got the hots for them,
but
patently
I do not.

Still thankful that the time is here
to sit in my jim-jams
and pour out a beer,

tomorrow
I may work again
tomorrow,
it may rain again
but tonight
is mine.
