My night time nightmare came true
I visited a place where the strange
Is the norm
The sun takes its blame in allowing these leeches
Of the earth to creep into our shadows
And last night they sought my eyes

This room that they beckoned me
Felt so cold
In every way
Icy chills blasting my heart
Searching my warmth
Quenching their thirst
And then

They sit
These men of the dark
Waiting
Staring
Mumbling nothings
It felt very cold

Their faces so ashen
So ghostly
A look not from my world
Yet here I sat amongst them
This was my place
This was my time

I too have joined
My darkness feels good
Only my blood redden eyes
Give away any life from my being
A life I once remember
Yet am now banished to the
Graveyard shift
And memories begin the fade
Away
