Today it occurred to me,
(at minus 4 ˚ centigrade)
when our water trough
beside the bird feeder,
(which had visible grains
under the ice), was being
jack hammered by beaks
of the Corvidae family,
that this must have been
the etymology of the well
used word of a Crowbar!
