Poems
Jan 2020
warning
the sky is dark
I am high
above the world
lying alone
on the floor
almost asleep
purple wine
coloring
my lips
outside the lines
I am listening to
the wind whip
against glass
there was a
warning tonight
gusts reaching
the windows
shake but they
do not break
just strong enough
for now
I turn away
and pull the
blanket
over my head
I reach deep inside
and feel my soul
it has another
small crack
it is just strong enough
