apathy
I shiver but
I am not cold
I shake but
I am not scared
the earth aches
she does not
want to talk
about her age
she knows she is
younger than she
feels
and still
has so much to
live for
butterflies
carry bombs
monarchs push
buttons
and we march
in lockstep
with our minds
and our mouths
