What word would be best?
You polish and rewrite
Break pens and bang on keyboards
Wake up in the wee hours with the phrasing
With those of us with circles under our eyes
Pen marks on our fingers
The joy of getting it just right
Thanking your muse privately in your mind
Just to be given the honor and distinction of writing
