Crumbling
The loudest crash
You’ve ever heard
Then another
Thankfully
It's already over
Before it stands
A chance
Of getting worse

But you can’t get rid of the dread you carry
So we take arrows and aim it at the sun
And punish the ones who have loved our fathers
And anyone else who dared to get here first

So many secrets taken into the forest
We are shaking like leaves in the dirt
You say, many hands make light work
Yet thousands of feet are unsure of this phrase
So they take turns in their innocence
Leaving dusty footprints in the Earth
