The life she lived
Filled with sleepless nights
And broken cries
Waking with crusty eyes
Preparing herself to die

Struggling to swallow her pride
To live the perfect life
Knowing it was all a lie
Sharpening the knife
To create the perfect lines

That have embedded themselves
Up and down her thighs
Her forest green eyes
Never experiencing the beauty in life
Seeing the dark
And never the light
