The wages of sin
Is the price you pay
If you let your ego
Get in the way
Or your demons
Lead you astray
At least that’s what
I’ve heard some people say

But what diety
Should you choose
If it’s the son,
Then does the Father lose?
And who gave the son
The Good News?
Have you contemplate that
From your pews?

Which religion
Should you follow?
Some rationals
Are hard to swallow,
Which one do you think,
Doesn’t sound hollow?
When you’re seeking
A life that’s moral

And is it enough
To believe?
In an entity
You can’t conceive
Or does that,
Make you naive?
Within the narrative
That I've weaved
