Nearing life's final chapter,
Spent in anguish and banter.
Face wrinkled like a walnut,
Teeth lost to chocolates "Wholenuts."
Age advancing,
Death approaching,
Alarmed, pining.
Delicate,fragile,
Tired,spent,a forced smile,
Uninvited aches in joints,
Body with Vicks Vaporub and oils
anoints.
Thrusting self forward,
Gratitude,hands heavenward.
