As one entity
They fought for their love
The way it should be
They shared a knowing glance
The hands that clasp
Kisses that mean everything
Why not me?
Why not, and when?
When will it be
That I have someone to love
Someone to marry me?

I want someone who’ll fight for us
Someone who believes in me
Someone to share the good and bad
Someone happy
Which is why sometimes at weddings
There are tears that come from me
I’m happy for the bride and groom
But sad, so sad for me
For I so want my someone
Where can she be?
I have to believe she too
Is searching for me.
