What if we were a pair of old barn owls
Born to bloom posthumously
In this post-mortem moonlight
These are our fumigated farmhouses
And landscapes among the stars
Where celebrities with hardened hearts
And star-beings who only come alive at night
Are trying to write sermons in the dark
While we sit here with ceremonies in our hearts
Wondering why confused human beings
Always try to deify the colors of the rainbow
