The club
the lookout
looks out
and sees through stone eyes
the sunrise
the sunset
yet nothing moves him.
There is no warning
the earthquake will come
the red tiles will fall
the lookout
will see it all
and say nothing.
we go on trying
living
dying
statues see everything.
