Sep 2019
the taxidermy eagle stares me down
as I'm disappearing from the world
concealed beneath the stairs
stiff green upholstery threadbare
I'm more archaic than the air
at a four sided table with five chairs
I hide in a labyrinth's best kept secret
publicly my own
believers find me not
