I find myself deep in thought
From where it is I've spent my day
I have an old friend that's in a home
As his life it slips away

Walking down the corridors
Where once vibrant lives now fill the halls
Wheeled out there to spend their days
As a reminder to us all

That what we were told would be our golden years
The shine it does not last
Because the beautiful souls that are wilting there
Are now wall flowers of the past
