Kids play tag with holograms
and Gran's in a world of her own
the cat's got bionic whiskers
and the dog feels right at home,
but he's really in a flotation tank
in the local cryogenic bank.

Social interaction is a distraction
that takes your mind away
from the virtual world that surrounds you
and who needs it
anyway?

satan sends emoji's
the good Lord sends regrets
they're both online at
gambling sites hedging
all their bets.

It's Wednesday somewhere,
somewhere,
not a rainbow to be seen
no yellow brick road
no scarecrow
only a tin man with
an axe head
and the lion was just a dream.
