You said you’d be there
Your words fell on me like the tears of a mourning sun
Who weeps for the raven who had no moon to talk to the night before
I remember
Because it gave me hope
A candle I could cup in my hand against the winds
So that one day, should I survive the rains, I could bring the light back to you
And we could finally set the earth on fire
