Poems
Jul 2019
morning’s fading enemies
she'll carry morning’s fading enemies:
a spiritual ruin and swallowed despair
blinding violent piercing stolen sea fires
one's vain movements—sacred, soothing
tortured poets watch cancer drifting past
gently stalking the pink dog-kiss of roses
radio band remorse is hiding stale lessons
gathering inside softly-colored Jesus static
What does a poet do when she hasn't written poems for years and can't feel poetry anymore?
