The cloud sheet
threaded above
us is full of sea
clicks and little
blue turns of
shaved rain,
an alley of splitting
water that crashes
sleepily into gray.

This is where
words dissolve,
& wet night
intentions are
thrown away.
All that's left
in the dark
is your hair
drifting in
the pool of
my mouth.
