Poems
Jul 2019
I'll never get tired of sleeping
The sheep counted me
As I tried to sleep
I fell awake
Because my thoughts
Kept trying to think
Pills didn't help
They just made me weak
For insomnia came
And stole my dreams
Like a thief in the night
But the night stole me
It put me in a chair
And it tied me there
But I wasn't asleep
I was having a nightmare
And my sleep went walking
Then my imagination started talking
About how I could escape
But it was too late
The sheep became faint
As the count became great
And I missed work
Because I couldn't awake
