Lord understand me
We try to keep it in the family
The diary, the bible and the baby must come first
It's all rigged
It's all a game
We are all being played
So wake the **** up and realize the insanity
We are all dancing on emptiness
No solid ground to stand upon
One more step and you could crash
A lashing or a flash of unexpected illumination
Candid candle stains
Upon your bedroom ceilings
Lanterns bare their flames with shame
In the darkness of the night
I am bound to myself
Wealth is transient
And we are ephemeral
Selfish as sin
You finish me quickly tonight
I want my eyes
To see you
When you return
Home
Come home
Home-coming
Hardly alone
One life
Best not taken
For granted
Yet you are always
Already for-giving
