I'm not sure I belong here But who am I to judge? I know nothing of poetry My major is not literary Honestly, I'm willing to bet These words sound nothing To you, my reader, as they do As I sit here and type As I read them back in my mind But I can feel the words. I can feel the lines. And I so desperately need To remember how to feel. I may not be a poet, But I can sure try And I appreciate you all Who embrace my makeshift verses And offer me solace
